Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FlippablePDF website, the FlippablePDF JavaScript library, and the FlippablePDF WordPress plugin (together, the "Service"), all provided by AESHA Technology Services Limited, a company incorporated in the Seychelles under company registration number 210193, with registered office at 1032 Office House of Francis Ilu de Port, 00000 Mahe, Seychelles ("we", "us", "our").
By downloading, installing, embedding or otherwise using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
01The Service
FlippablePDF is a client-side software library that renders PDF documents as page-flipping flipbooks inside a web browser. The Service is distributed as:
- This website, which provides documentation, a live demonstration, and downloadable distributions;
- A JavaScript library that runs entirely in the user's browser;
- A WordPress plugin that wraps the library for use in WordPress sites.
The Service is provided free of charge. We may, in our sole discretion, modify, suspend or discontinue the Service or any feature of it at any time, with or without notice.
02License
The FlippablePDF source code (the JavaScript library and the WordPress plugin) is released under the MIT License. Subject to the terms of that license, you may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software, including for commercial purposes.
The MIT license text is included with each distribution. Any redistribution, modification or derivative work must preserve the original copyright notice and license terms.
Third-party components included with the Service (notably PDF.js by Mozilla) are licensed under their own terms, which take precedence over these Terms for those components.
03Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Display, distribute or process content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or violates the rights of any third party;
- Process content that you do not have the legal right to process, including PDFs subject to digital rights management you are not authorised to bypass;
- Misrepresent the authorship of the Service or remove attribution required by the licenses of third-party components;
- Interfere with, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, any server, or any related infrastructure.
You are solely responsible for the content you choose to display through the Service and for your compliance with all applicable laws.
04User-uploaded content (the Share feature)
If you use the upload-and-share feature at flippablepdf.com/upload.php to host a PDF and obtain a shareable link, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and display that PDF for the limited purpose of operating the Share feature — that is, serving the file to people who follow the link until the file is deleted.
You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to upload and distribute every PDF you upload, and that doing so will not infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
You agree not to upload PDFs that:
- infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights;
- contain malware, exploits, or active content (JavaScript actions, Launch actions, embedded files, RichMedia, etc. — these are rejected at upload time, but circumvention of these checks is also a breach of these Terms);
- contain illegal content under the laws of the Republic of Seychelles or the country of habitual residence of any person likely to view them, including (but not limited to) child sexual abuse material, content directly inciting violence, content promoting terrorism, or content unlawfully disclosing personal data;
- contain confidential information you are not authorised to publish;
- are designed primarily to harass, defame, or threaten any identifiable person.
Removal and retention. Uploaded files are stored on our server for up to thirty (30) days from the moment of upload, after which they are automatically deleted along with the share link. We reserve the right to remove any uploaded file at any time, with or without notice, including in response to a valid legal complaint, an abuse report, or our own discovery of content that violates these Terms.
Takedown requests. Send takedown requests, copyright notices and abuse reports to abuse@flippablepdf.com. Include the share link, your contact information, the basis for your request, and a good-faith statement under penalty of perjury that the information you provide is accurate. Repeat infringers’ future uploads may be blocked.
No warranty of availability. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime, durability, or retention for uploaded files. Treat the Share feature as a transient, best-effort distribution channel — not as a backup or storage service.
05Intellectual property
The "FlippablePDF" name, logo and brand identity are the property of AESHA Technology Services Limited. You may use them in good-faith reference to the Service (for example, "powered by FlippablePDF") but you may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship or partnership without prior written permission.
All content on this website that is not part of the open-source distribution — including marketing copy, illustrations, and the website design — is © AESHA Technology Services Limited and may not be reproduced without permission, except as permitted by applicable copyright exceptions such as quotation and fair use.
06Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or availability.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.
07Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will AESHA Technology Services Limited, its directors, officers, employees, contractors or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
To the extent that liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
08Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless AESHA Technology Services Limited and its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (i) your access to or use of the Service, (ii) your violation of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property or privacy right.
09Termination
These Terms apply for so long as you use the Service. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including license terms for distributed source code, disclaimers, limitations of liability and dispute-resolution provisions — will survive.
10Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of the Republic of Seychelles will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim, save where exclusive jurisdiction is required by mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of habitual residence.
11Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
